that's kind of expensive at the going rates, but **** if i can walk in and pick out all kind of different flavors and not worry bout gettin' busted, im in!!! lol

Yep... some dumbass goes and blows $86 bucks on a quarter ounce of pot that he/she will smoke up in no time... probably in mom and dad's basement because they "can't afford" to live on their own. Yep... nothing to worry about here. :(

Colorado's gonna need every penny of tax revenues they can get to pay for the social disaster this is going to become.

You can probably buy it from the drug dealer just around the corner for 1/4 the price.

basically $15 in taxes on a $70 purchase, that's the only way to get the left to pay it's "fair share", hope all the money goes to support the welfare, that pays for all them "mostly all un-employed", socialist subsidies collecting dopers, 17.4% or something along those lines, the taxes should be double or triple that IMHFO

The price for weed will likely go down because it's legal. And it's still less than or least the same as the taxes most pay on gas.

Two different kinds of commodities & they are taxed differently...legalized Pot has a sin tax...There will be a tax bonanza to public treasuries.

all I wanna know is who is going to take care of all the numb nutts even before they are all higher than a 5 star general?

Now would probably be a good time to either own or buy stock in the junk food industry. (potato chips, candy bars and soda). I see munch city coming about!!! Then a New York style tax on junk food. Double wammy

When EVERYONE stops making such a HUGE deal out of pot, we will ALL get over it and move on to something more important....like a louder argument about what to do with not only the tax revenue generated from pot sales but the BILLIONS saved by not paying to fight it!

I asked an old friend that's still into it and he says around here the going rate for the kind like that is 50-100 so that's cheap

People who use pot are going to use pot. Better Colorado businesses and taxing agencies reap the benefits rather than drug dealers. I am thinking the tax rate is minimal compared to the current taxes on cigarettes. Now lets move on to hookers and tax them too!

Why not legalize prostitution as well?
