Don't know anything about the man or remember the guy

I'll say RIP Monte Smith

to "almost any" lost car dude/dudet, "usually" are good people

Prayers for him and his family. I met him back when he raced his GTX in Super Street in the begging of the NMCA. We've had many spirited discussions since. A very smart guy. From Nitrous, to suspension , to EFI. I'll miss him.

Wow! that's a shock and sad. A lot of people used his expertise. RIP.

Shocker for sure! May he rest in peace...

Saw this on moparts, 6 posts down. Monte's automotive story in his own words from last year.

I dont go to moparts often and never met him but i have read a lot of his posts from searches of the forum to get help for a project. Wealth of info delivered spot on. Life is short so make sure to take the time to enjoy family friends and passions as much as you can. It looks like monte did just that. RIP

Saw this when it was hitting the web. That's a seriously big loss for the racing community. There's not too many individuals who have that level of skill and who's willing to help anyone that asked.
