I have an 8 3/4, 3.55, 489 case Sure Grip unit for sale. Not raced or abused. Coming out of my 69 Road Runner rear that's been in indoor storage for years. Ring gear is stamped 4-16-73 Internals look good. No signs of issues, leaks, or abnormal wear on the gears. I'd change the fluid and run it 'as is'. $500. Prefer local pickup (Elkton, Maryland).
