So I bought a compressor from this guy and through further talks as I was extremely happy with the service and promptness I found out this fella restores lines and hoses as well. His name is Bill Peake and I even sourced some original compressor brackets from him. I know a lot of folks have stressed about Classic Auto Air not doing restorations any longer so here is an option. I took a screenshot of his seller name on eBay. I was even able to source the 68 only, big block only, compressor manifold from him. I am going to let him do my hoses and lines too I believe. Those were some hard items to find.

I found him to do a wiper motor. I made a post asking about him and ended up updating it to say things went well. Not sure how his name is just now coming up in the hobby. He has a superbird.

I don’t know. He’s a super nice guy and after I did my research on him he has been in the auto parts rebuilding business for a lot of years. Topher did my wiper motor for me as he is not too far away. It’s a work of art honestly.

Which ac line where after the one for the compressor with the muffler? Ididn’t see that one in your pic. I know they are difficult to find as mine where cobbled and incorrect and my compressor was from a 70s model . I got the right one finally with the round pan and rebuilt it but I’m still looking for the clutch. I have a new bearing but my clutch is roasted from bearing failure.

The compressor manifold isn’t pictured. I bought one from Bill that was already ultrasound cleaned and pressure tested. The lines pictured I have chased down from various places. The hardest ones to find are the 68 only, big block only ones. The copper one that bolts to the engine and the discharge line and hose that bolts to the compressor manifold. Those are hard pieces to find.

I sourced some off late 67 cars, my car was an early build 8/23/67. I would mind up grading a couple of them. I’ve still wondered how clean the inside of the lines. Ultrasonic would be a large machine!
