setting up a 65 8 3/4 rear end for my 64 440, bearings, brakes, truetrac in a 489... and good bye tapered axles. so i am cleaning it up and por-15ing it and top coating it also, since its off. whats the thoughts of a blue ma mopar M on the dif. center ? cool detail or lame-o? Mopar m.jpg

It was lame in the 70's when murals on a rear end were popular & even more lame now.

Works better on a big pickup. Unless you have the *** end jacked up Cheech n Chong style, you'll never see it.

I think this is the direction you should head in...

I always thought of it as a kinda a giveaway that you'd been in the rear end puttin better stuff in. I don't want folks knowin my hand. lol

spent the day with the angle grinder . osphode it and washed . looking at the responses and my own just wanting to put it on the car ,will pass on the indigo m . guese it was more of a 5 am after staying up watching greenbay , slerping coffee ponder... 69redrunner what is the mural on the door of your id pic of?

Now.....if you know somebody GOOD with a airbrush........you could get them to paint a pic of like a ring and pinion gear tearin their way through the rear cover. That might be cool.

It's a decal of Wile E. Coyote chasing the Roadrunner with a knife and fork with his tongue hanging out.
Got a right and a left off ebay.....They made me laugh...had to have em'

69redrunner that's kind of different...LOL...

thanks, thought that was why i have the axle and the pumpkin on the bench in the first place , it's always good to be reminded about the important stuff. good to read. the 'm' was a whim over coffee while i waited for it to get over 60'f and the sun to come up saturday morning. thinking it would be dumb to mess up all the black work .

I don't think i would do it myself but if thats what you like, go for it.. Unless the cars up in the air good most wont see it..
