Do I have to use them in matching pairs(right and left)? Or can I use 2 rights or 2 lefts? springs in question are P3690455 and P3690454. Also plan on using arengineering adjustable hangers.

should be used with matched pairs; left and right. of course you can bolt anything on but will it work for an intended purpose?

Street/strip but mostly street. I've read the body will lean quite a bit to the left. So figured two rights or two left's would remedy that.

That's a pretty stiff spring for just street.

I've got SS springs on my 65, it sits level.

I used a pair of the same side on mine. I read in a 'performance handling' book specifically on b-body mopars that two of the same was better for handling, while the set was designed for off the line stability. One side (I think the right) has an extra leaf to take the load of the engine's twist, so I used a pair of them. Sits nice and flat.

If you aren't drag racing, don't use SS springs. The "Track Pac" setup from the factory was great for performance. An aftermarket setup from someone like Espo works very well. My Espo springs were really good. Mopar SS springs are really made for drag racing, not street.

think I read where mancini, or dr diff. or some one recommended using two driver side springs for a level setting car , that would work on the street and strip.

the factory street hemi springs are a good general purpose choice. i've used them for decades on all my street, with occasional track, without any issue. if the super stock springs are used, in a matched pair, there are front hangers available to level the car out. if handling is what a person wants then i'd use a spring with less arch than a super stock.

When your talking about matched pair (left and right), are you worried the car won't sit level? The right side has one more 1/2 leaf, that sits mostly in front of the axle to help prevent wrap up. It shouldn't affect how level your car sits, if it does then play with your torsion bars a bit. Springs are determined by load rating. I'm pretty sure all the 440s and hemis that had that extra spring didn't leave the factory with one side of the car higher than the other.

If you haven't purchased anything yet, take a look at the Hotchkis springs. Designed to improve the handling. They do lower it a bit. I didn't use the hangers they sent as they moved the rear end back too much and I didn't want to relocate my fuel pump and filter at the time.

When my SS springs where on my 65 Dodge it sat level. So I expect them to be the same when I get them back on. Good luck with your choice. Let us know what you choice and how it looks and performs. Thanks.

I run the 456/457 combo on my 62 without issue. It sits level as far as I know. Pass side has extra 1/2 leaf in front but the ride seems nice.
I see no reason you couldn't run two left side springs.

If you haven't bought anything, I'd recommend the Chrysler XHD setup for mostly street use.
