What are the most comfortable MOPAR seats that you've sat in from the '62 - '74 range? It can be A, B, C, or E body, but it has to be MOPAR.

My car is in paint jail right now, but I hope to get it back by end of May. In the meantime, I've got the new motor underway and I'm finalizing details of my interior plans.

Mine is a '68 Sport Satellite with two buckets, but it's got the fold-down armrest/middle seat thing also. The best photo I could find of the the style of how mine looks (with a console in place of my fold-down middle seat) is attached (I borrowed it from a recent post by one of you guys and that white looks great when it's new and clean!). I'm going with black interior though and I need some advice on the front seats. I'm OK with the seat cover pattern, but the front seats themselves are very uncomfortable. They sit flat on the bottom part with not much of a recline and the backs are low (I was wondering if I can add a stock headrest like I've seen some of the GTX's and RR's with). Anyway, the question I have is, what do you all think about swapping these front seats out for some from a different mopar?

If you know of some seats that have a headrest or higher back as well as some with a bit of recline and some side bolstering to keep me from sliding around when I take turns, that's what I'm looking for. I don't want to go the aftermarket route with Sparco or something like that. I'd like to keep it classic, but I'm open to the seats not being original to my car if it improves comfort, but retains good looks. Although new seat springs and foam will help, the basic design of my current seats just leave a lot to be desired.

I've got a set of about 99 Dodge Ram leather power seats in my '68 right now, they fit really well, don't look anymore out of place than the 70 up high back buckets, and are comfortable as all get out. Local guy here at the flea mkt pulls buckets from wrecks, and I got this set for $60

huh! Never would have thought of getting newer seats like that. If you get a chance, would you mind posting a photo of that so we can see how it looks? I will probably end up keeping the original seats, but with new foam and adding head rests, but if someone mentions another comfy seat that's in their ride, I'm all ears. I used to have a '67 (ahem!) full size Chevy... and it had the most comfortable bucket seats I've ever sat in, old car, new car, or otherwise - so that is my benchmark so to speak.

Most comfortable Mopar seats period IMO are 80's Daytona et al.

I have 87 Dodge 600 convertible seats in my 66 and they are pretty comfortable.
Look close to your 68s, but are more sculpted, have headrests and recline.

They have slightly wider track centers, so drilling floor is required, but B body tracks work with minor tinkering.

I posted pics in a previous post.

I have a 97 Ram 1500 and that is the first thing i noticed was how comfortable the seat was in it, im sure theres better seats for comfort though, im a big guy at 6-5 and 225 pds.. and i like driving it, and the feel of the seat... My 73 is comfortable but have set in better then then that for comfort... And i imagine anyone redoing seats with whats available now can make comport.

It would seem that
Comfort is in the eye of the butt-holder.

68 Sport Sattelite, sorry it took so long to get the pics, had the net down here for some time.

Here ya go, with a '65 console, just cause I like it :)
