Been gone for a month, fired up the Dodge no problem but it quickly died and would not re fire. Checked ignition system, its fine, so the problem has to be in the fuel system, since I checked fuel cell it was nearly empty. Added 6 gallons fuel, still will not fire. Poured fuel directly into carbs and it fires, so obviously we have a clogged fuel line as evidenced by abnormally high fuel pressure of 8-9 when it normally runs at 5 or so. There is no fuel filter. Carbs are brand new 450's and I did pour in a bit of Stabil prior to leaving on vacation.
Before I start tearing it apart, should I suspect the regulator as the most likely problem or can anyone recommend a better plan?

Why the absence of a filter? Stsrt by checking all rubber lines. That and no mention of the pump running.

Blue electric fuel pump runs fine. No rubber lines, as to fuel filter there never was one unless its inside the fuel cell.

Did you break the line at the regulator to see if you have gas there?

Hope its not fuel cell foam deteriotation.

Fuel pressure is measured before regulator (you can see copper tubing on the right side).

This setup worked just fine for several months now.

With fuel pump running, applying throttles barely squirts any fuel into carbs, more like a trickle.

I would remove the line to the carbs, and pump into a bucket. Good delivery, look at needles and seats, bad delivery, look at regulator.

I would take the fuel line off the inlet side of regulator put the end in a gallon jug. Have somebody start the pump, who will turn it off quickly if need be. Then you know which direction to go.

:DBeat me to it Imp. I wouldn't believe the gauge because if its partly clogged it would still possibly read normal pressure.
