motor decoding

this may seem dumb seeing as i already know the motor is a 440 but i cant seem to find the code any where. im trying to figure out what horsepower 440 i have. it was build 9/25/75 the casting number is 4006650-440-7 code mn. can any body help me with figuring this out or have one that they have information on? im going nuts here lol the closest i can find is 4006630 to match the casting number. is this a rare version of the 440 or something?

If it was built 9/25/75 it was for a 1976 model year C body and would be the 205 net HP version.

Look at the pad on the front of the driver's side block for the stamping numbers. You should find should be 6 T 440 9 25

Look on the passenger's side of the block just above the pan rail for a raised VIN pad.

Good motor for mild turbo as you had mentioned was your plan in a previous post. If its healthy throw some boost at it. Youll be suprised.

ok thanks! haha the motor really is blowing my mind that i cant find the code any where for it. granted im sure ill find alot more info when i get to pulling the motor to clean the engine bay up and what not
