Went to install the engine and trans back into the 67 GTX. I had to replace the nest impossible to find drivers side mount for the Hemi 2864184. I bought it from one of the popular vendors, not sure which I’ve been collecting the parts for better than one year.
When I went to lower the engine on the k frame it fit poorly. Through bolt was skewed going through k frame, and the top tab had to be opened up to get that bolt in. So once installed I thought I was good. Went to raise the whole assembly into the car yesterday and found out once the k frame was bolted in tight it skewed the assembly enough that the tail shaft was right on the tunnel crossmember.
I see Mancini sells a different ( in appearance) mount, assuming it’s a different manufacturer. Has anyone ever used it?
First picture is Mancini, last 2 are the mount I took back out. You can see difference in locating pin , welded nut etc.
