My 63 Dodge does not have a side view mirror and I would like to install one. Can anyone give me the correct hole location to mount the mirror? This would be on the drivers side.

Thanks guys!

I don't have the measurement but my buddies '63 330 has the factory mirrors and the placement is totally useless. I suggest that you sit in your comfortable driving position and have somebody hold the mirror in place so there is no visual interference like his.

My car didn't have the mirror too so I wanted to do it Mosher style. That's like this:

But then again, I didn't want to drill any holes in the original sheetmetal so I mounted it this way:

I removed the lever that closes the triangular window and screwed a (fairly cheap hot-rod style) mirror on it in it's place. No, I can no longer open the small window but I don't care about that. There's no hole in my sheetmetal...

I can only echo this! I have both mirrors on the Sport Fury, and they're both positioned too low to be of much use-the passenger's side in particular. I am planning on re-positioning them slightly higher and farther back-the frame of the vent window also obscures the right-side mirror.

I'm not any help here either as I welded the holes shut and deleted mine. I'm sure I'll get a ticket if I get pulled over as Kansas law says you have to have at least 2. My buddy with a Jeep found out the other day...

It sounds like I will position it based on my seating position and hope for the best, I do use them and would feel lost without them.

heres mine on my 63 plymouth for reference.
