Has anybody run Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial 255 60R 15 on a 7 " police rim on a 1965 Satellite with stock leaf spring location ? Will this fit or rub on the leaf springs ?

Hi- do you know the backspacing on those 7" wheels? I run a 15x7 with 4.5" backspace and the tire you are asking about would probably rub the wheel lip and inside quarter panel on my 64. I just went out and measured my car.

There are other factors like ride height that will help or hinder you, but that MT tire is only 27" tall which will help a little. If you had a 5.5 backspace it would probably fit being that it would draw the wheel and tire further in and away from the quarter panel. You'd have lots of room on the leaf spring side in either case.

The coronet might have slightly narrower or differently shaped wheel wells than my 64 but it's darn close, plus if it's the factory 65 axle it's 1/2" narrower on each side. These cars have been fiddled with for almost fifty years so it hard to guarantee anything since parts have moved around a lot on most vehicles by now. My advice would be to measure your exact setup now to estimate what size will fit... you're going to want to measure where the tire would sit with a 4.5bs and also a 5.5bs wheel to see what centers the wheel in the tub better. Then double check when you have the actual wheels and tires in hand and before you get them mounted up. Good luck!

Not sure how many times I have wished I had this tool, but it would answer all of your questions in a matter of minutes. Use it once then charge your friends to use it and it will pay for itself!
