Hello forbbodiesonly, I've been digging around for sometime and I know a few of you have after market IFS setups. I'm curious as to know where you acquired your crossmember from and the dimensions and requirements needed to weld it in (frame shims/boxing).
Unfortunately my entire front suspension succumbed to major rust damage and needed to be scrapped. I'm a well educated and practiced fabricator and would like to take this opportunity now that most of the metal work on the body of the car is done to move to suspension and convert to Independant suspension. I've looked at a few crossmember and they have the required 60" track width but not the required width for the frame. My question here is what needed to be changed or where the crossmember was purchased from and it's dimensions.
I would also appreciate if anyone could confirm the measurements for a 71 Dodge Charger disclosed in the picture.
I would appreciate it if no one suggests that I return to factory suspension, or tries to argue that torsion bars are superior as I will not be engaging in those arguments.
Thank you.
