I found my first car, a 1966 Satellite, in a garage, bought it back, and now am in the process of restoring it. I bought it first in 1971 for $800. Sold it in the 80's for $800, and bought it back for $1500. Although it was in a garage for 25 years, it is in sad shape. Rusty floor pans, rear quarter panels, hit in the front end( bent bumper, rt fender and grill. It's missing chrome from the front wheel wells, the lt rear wheel well, and the chrome from the top of the rt door. It still has the 340 engine I installed in the late 70's, the U.S. indy wheels I put on in the 70's and the same paint job. I have replaced the front floor pans, the radiator, the brake system, got it started and have driven it some. Much work left to do.
Any help finding the missing chrome would be appreciated.

Awesome detective work finding the EXACT car, dude. As far as chrome, a few guys here may have some - moparparts is one member you might try. Post up some pics when you have a chance.

Hi 66Satellite21 !!
Welcome aboard.
Thanks for joining the forum.

That is really a GREAT story ...
So, let me get this straight...
1. You bought it in 1971
2. You sold it...in the 80s
3. You bought it back again!
COOL!
Send us some pics please?

Awesome.

X infinity on pics.

I sure wish I could find my 70 Super Bee I sold in 1993.

I may have some of the trim you're looking for.

I have some fender/door/quarter top molding, but I'm not sure which is which and if they're different driver vs passenger side.

I also have a driver's front and two rear wheel arch moldings from a 67.
(these are pricey- $95 each at Laysons, plus shipping)

That's a great story:jerk:. I just got my 74 Charger back after 32 years. Bought it in 76 sold it in 81 and got it back in 2014. Best part about it is, it never had another owner in between, and is in practically the same condition. Best of luck in your restoration...keep us posted.
