Hey guys my cousin gave me this car.
My current goal is to get it running and driving for this year's Carlisle Mopar car show
Let me know what you think I should do to the car.

To me if it is a J code and all the numbers and title match I would forget the race car. Unless it has some kind of national fame.

I have yet to find out any information of its history as a race car.
I would like to restore it a few years from now.

So have you verified the numbers on the dash, trunk. and core support numbers match the title?

My thoughts if you have the title, fender tag, and all the body numbers match it might be worth restoring back to an original hemi road runner.
Ya that's the plan. Probably will have fun with it for a couple years first the way it is.

That thing is awesome I would leave it as is what a cool roadrunner.

That car cleaned up better than I thought it would and is pretty cool. If it was mine? I would restore it back to how it came from the factory.

Cool car and I wish my brother had given me one too!
Got to be a restoration as drag racing is bad for the body and frame.

My Moparmate ran his 70 runner down to the Nines with a 572 inch engine.
Yep it distorted the rear bodywork quite badly and took a lot of work to put right.

You can drag race any Mopar but the super rare cars need fixing, not abusing in the 21st century!
Just my thoughts as an ex drag racer now restorer!

I agree with starting the restoration. Get it on the rotisserie asap. Keep us informed of the progress.
