My Blue 65 Dodge Coronet's makeover

Just want everyone to see the new look on my 65 Dodge Coronet. New Alumastars with 27.7 Moroso Drag Specials and 15 x 10 Alumastars on rear and the new AFX Hemi Hood scoop.
Car is all loaded up and ready to go . Sounds better than ever.

Our first race day is April 16(Sat) and April 17(Sun) so I hope our weather gets a little warmer. Good luck with hitting the 8's. I will be trying to hit that 10.5 mark for the NSS/B index. I have enough HP but now I have to get the suspension worked out.

I was all set to go racing today when I looked to find out I need to realign my 2 pulleys off my mandrel. They both need to go in 1/4".
The rear spacer is too thick. I got the correct one so tomorrow i'll be changing it on my back since the car is in the trailer.
I might have been ok but both belts are up on the front part of the pulley and not centered.

Went out tonight and fixed my alignmewnt issues with the 2 pulleys. I'm good to go. Going out Sunday.think the weather should be good.
If I make my 8 second pass you'll hear me all the way from the track.
Also getting the Coronet recertified at the track.

I raced with just the regular hemi hood scoop for many years. Just going to try this AFX scoop this weekend and see how much it picks up.

heres a pic of te engine bay redone today. remote oil filter had to be rebolted and motor plate needed a little realigning.

Also just put on a Product Engineering 16 volt alternator and 16 volt turbo start battery.

Are you limited to Carter carbs because of class rules?

Per NSS rules: The wording may be different for different NSS clubs but all are basically the same.
Carburetion:
Carburetion may be any factory type available for the year it is used on, must be multiple carbs (3x2 or 2x4). Carbs must match manufacturer availability (i.e. Holleys on Fords, Carters on Chryslers and G.M.). All carburetors must be 800 C.F.M. or less. Holleys or Carter type only. No Dominators or Predators allowed.

Its just a good lookin old dodge,aint nothing better than a multi carb setup on an old dodge.
