My car wont reverse...

I need help figuring out whether my tranny finally went out and if I replace it whats my best option to go with... I have a 1966 4 door Coronet, everything worked and one day it woldn't catch reverse anymore. It has a 318 engine automatic transmission with the shifter mounted on the column. Any help is appreciated guys.

i think you are in the wrong section to get a response that you need. that being said if your linkage is adjusted right i would say you have a band problem probably broken. good luck
