My father is very happy now, found his first car and it was a 1969 GTX today. He told me so many memories with this car and the sad part he had to sell it when he found out my mom was pregnant with me.He was tearful when it left after he sold it.he bought it back for $20,000.00 and the front bumper is the only piece that needs replaced, car was restored 7 years ago.I seen the car for the first time today and he bought it today.I seen the pictures of the car 10 years ago.I am glad he got it back and he regrets selling it.

Wow thats great! I'm sure he's going to be up all night.

That's great Steph, can you post some pictures of it??WE would love to see it:headbang:

He is sleeping very well now,I will probally get it the day he goes.It has the original 440 with the 4 speed. He smoked 428 Cobra Jets with it on the line.Bought it a year old when he was 16 years old and still has the original sales receipt he kept seperately.

WOW, he found the actual car he had back in the day!! Very cool indeed and I'm happy for him.

X2 on the pics!!!

Nice .!

That is very cool for your dad.! I did the same for my family we have 5 kids & 7 grandchildren so i know what your dad felt like i am very happy for him.!

Excellent! I was able to keep my 69 RR in storage all these years. It was my graduation present when I graduated from high school. Many years later I was able to give it to my daughter on her 25th birthday. Enjoy the time spent with your father now, for one day I imagine you'll be passing GTX along. God Bless!

thats great....finding and getting back something he loved. i recently found pix of my 1st 1970 road runner and it was almost like getting the car back....so i know EXACTLY how he feels! tell him congrats from all of us here!

His father was first against with him getting it.If you want to know,he did get 2 speeding tickets with it when he was 20 years old.He is going to let me drive it too, will be passing it to me when the day he goes and said this today.

OK,OK already. Where are the pics? Great story...now let's see the proof. Tell your Dad congrats.
