now i know some of you old timer haters will frown on my new wheels, but i like them and wanted to share with you. they turned up today from the states they are custom boze shifter rims 19 x 10 rear 5.6" BS rears and 18 x 8 front 5" bs fronts, i will be putting 295 35 19 rear and 245 40 18 fronts tyres on when i can save some money.
they fit perfectly on my 68 charger with no body mods only a 4 link rear and tubular front.

They're not bad. I have seen worse looking rims. It's your car to do whatever you want. Some people like those styles of rims and some don't. It would be a boring world if everyone had the same thing(car, tires, paint, trophy wife).

the car looks "bone chilling" awesome! blue!...BUT .......sorry Sonny dislikes the wheels.

Thumbs up from me. Obviously your goal is to make a great handling car (choice of suspension - low profile tires) so the wheel/tire sizes are optimized for that purpose. Hopefully you'll get some track time and enjoy the car there. Personally I like the look of all tire/wheel combos. Some are made for straight lines and that's okay but they won't handle on a track like that.

i think they look awesome benno, love the chrome/black combo.cant wait to see it sitting on the ground with the tires on em.only thing you mat not like is feeling every little rock and bump with that low of a profile, but i think the look will be worth it.

Let the haters hate, your car, your choice, I love them and look forward to seeing pics of them with tires on. Boze makes some great wheels and the ability to create a custom center cap like that is especially cool.

I'm not a fan of them kinda wheels...BUT your car would make purdy much any wheel look good.

Damn. Those look good! I'm going for 18/19" staggered as well or my 68 Coronet. What brakes are you running? I have my alterkation front and read being shipped out as we speak. What did you think if the Boze customer service? I was debating Boze or Forgeline...

Can't wait to see the rubber on there.

Kevin, running wilwood 4 pistons 12.19" discs all round, Boze customer service was awesome then when i paid them it dropped a little but still nothing bad, i really am very impressed with the quality of the rim.

the profile wont be too small on these wheels i still wanted some chunkyness to the tyres, trust me i hate massive wheels/low profiles on muscle thus the reason for only going 19/18" the sidewall on the new tyres will still be around 4 and a bit inch.

As an old fart... Nice wheels, I like the 5 spokers better than the 6 spokers myself {just me}, but IMHFO they look great & fit the look of the car, I also like the chrome/Black combo too, with the Mopar Logos in the center, nice touch... I take it your going for the Pro-touring type car/look... I too like them fast & low myself, there are a ton of 100% restoration out ther already & it never hurts the car to be able to handle very well either... who's 4 link bars are you using ?? also who's tubular Control arms ??

never mind, I see it in your signiture it's Manum Force racing pieces...

yeh thanks budnicks, i chose 6 spokers because i see way to many 5 spokers out there, i am thinking the blue m on the cap should either be polished aluminium or hemi orange the light blue doesnt look right and looks like lavendar up close, might change it.

i am using magnumforce front tubular k member and magnumforce 4 link rear 2" dropped spindles, 2.5 " sway bar, p/steer, p/brakes.
should handle good me thinks

i dont know what you would call it, pro touring is changing everything isnt it? i have kept factory interior, factory dash with autometer gauges in place o fold ones, factory body besides the fron lip spoiler and fibreglass bonnet with custom reverse cowl similiar to a aar cuda hood i am going to try make, factgory engine, box and diff (just all upgraded)
i love mopars and they way they look so thus why i tried to keep mainly stock with some hidden upgrades.

yeah I don't go for the classification deal much either, I like that it's kind of stockish appearing interior & exterior, especially on a B-Body/gen 2 Charger, it's hard to beat that cars lines, I like the way they look, with performance upgrades, that's what I like to do with my street cars... I kind of see it as a Pro-touring/Resto-Mod type deal, it's easier than writing a whole bunch of stuff...LOL..just to explain what it is, to the laymen... Pretty much mild body mods, trick suspension & bigger better brakes, bigger wheels/performance tires & performance engine, lower & fast, great handling, is pretty much what a Pro-Touring car is IMHFO...

I say: "Too each his own"
But, I like "old school" too...

Me too, I like too many different styles, even the old Pro-Street style..LOL..other than the prototypical hoppen' Low rider or the "saki sippen' rice rockets" fwd cars scene, but I can respect the work that goes into them too...

Not a lot of tire choices for a 295/35/19. You think a 305/30/19 would fit? I know some guys are running 285 on the front.

bf goodrich gforce kdw2 is the ones im getting, a 305 will definetly fit, as long as you have 5.6" BS and you have your springs relocated AND you dont drop the car too much, if you remove the annyoing lip on the inner outside fender it will be no problem cause then you can go 5" BS

Dang Benno, those are some meats. Car looks really straight too.
