My New Website Is Up!!

I've been giving my website a major and much-needed overhaul since June.

Although it was a little sooner than I intended through an erroneous click on the Publish button lol {oops}, the all new PhoenixSpecialtyCoatings.com debuted last night.

Your time, comments and suggestions are always welcome and highly appreciated. Please note I still have testing underway and will continue to beef it up, add more photos, and organize better as time allows.

Among the revisions are a more streamlined format, a more accurate representation of the custom powder work I focus on through distinctive custom car **** (and lots of them are for FBBO Members!). The hourly rate went up by five bucks due to rising utility costs here, and the FABO Discount also changed. Yours did not due to all the fabulous customers who've jumped on board here. Registered FBBO Members receive 5% off the labor, and Gold members and honored Veterans/military enjoy their customary 10% labor discount.

I like your site but you might want to think about your choice of colours (red & green) for the text in your site. Approximately 8% of males are colour blind in the red green spectrum. those so afflicted see red and greens as shades of brown. I would think that most of your clients are male.

Hi Leanna,
First, congratulations on the new site. I would however suggest a few things, other then the mentioned text colors above. Your gallery and pricing pages are way long, as is the main page. I would suggest breaking down each of these to different menu items under the main headings. Example, the gallery, it appears that you have engine parts, manifolds, valve covers, brakes, air cleaners, badges, motorcycles and bikes, signs, and novelty items. Much easier to find if they were on separate pages and selectable via a menu so your potential customers don't have to scroll for an eternity to find what the are looking for. The same can be said for the Pricing Shipping and discounts page, this should be a menu with Quotes, pricing, colors, shipping information, and discounts all on separate pages, again so you don't have to scroll so much. About us page could use a lot of tidying up as well. Also, I noticed that you have the menu repeated at the bottom of each page, if you make the website header stationary at the top of each page, no need to repeat at the bottom. Also, contact information should be in one location and not on each page its repetitive, and uses up valuable space.

It's kind of sad to realize that almost all of the issues pointed out above about the new site were pretty much what prompted me to start over to begin with.

I'm now considering doing the platform upgrade which will allow unlimited pages (rather than the six I'm stuck with).

On the bright side, I woke up to ELEVEN quote requests so it's doing the job despite its problems.

Can you please tell me if you're using a computer pc or your phone when you view it??? There are VAST discrepancies between the two and I have the ability to view and modify the site with both. Knowing what you're looking at would be very helpful to me at this point.

I looked at it on PC with IE 11, Firefox 15, and Google Chrome, all look the same. Hope that helps.
