I decided to go to the nats so I started going through all the small parts for this car, and making a list of stuff I need.
I am at a stand still till I get my shed built. I sold the 18X10 shed I had at the end of my drive way and ordered the wood for the 18X24
I have a 2 car garage attached to my house I dont think my wife would appreciate me painting a car in the garage so....

I started to buff out the windshield moldings

Monday when I get back I'll order the wood my 19 year old will be back from his vac with X so I will have him to help
I figure it will take 2 days start to finish to get the shed done
than I will move the car into it and get to work

looking forward to the nats this weekend
last week I sent my dash to to have it Blasted got it back today and I just finished applying 2 coats of epoxy primmer
it had a bit of rust on it from sitting in my shed for 5 years
if I feel ambitious tomorrow I will blow some primer filler on it tomorrow
not sure if I want to base coat /clear coat it or use lacquer

Welcome!
hoping by sept it will be on rotisserie
mean time searching for parts!
post some pics of your rag top!

I had considered selling this project at one point, money has been tight, one son in catholic school another in college and truthfully health hasnt been that great. I got one insulting offer so I decided to take my time and finish this car.

when I start making some progress I will start to post some pics.
I think this is the therapy the doctor ordered!

working on a project can be better then any medicine or therapy.Itt keeps your mind and body busy so you're not thinking about any physical ailments.Do what you can when you can cause i would like to see this finished.

looks like a great project. I feel your pain. I got my car in '07, and the new 1/4 skins have been hanging in the garage since then. BUT, the Wife's car got paid off, the oldest daughter graduated collage, youngest finished High School, so I'm positive I can at least get my 1/4s on and have her sanded down and in primer by the end of fall. Bought the Wife a anniversary present Id been promising her for 20 years last year, a '72 Karmann Ghia, so she's a fan of the old cars, and that helps.
and working 21 turn doesn't help with working on the car either.
keep us posted!

Love that colour, it takes time (and money) I,m glad you decided to work on it than give it away, it will be a great looking car when done
