Anyone know why these seven little holes would be here? Seems odd. I would think they would let moisture and crud into the bead area.

Would those be factory, or did someone drill those out at some point?

They look to be well placed and evenly spaced. Not sure if they are factory holes but look to be. I googled Ansen mags looking for some with bead locks but didn't see any pictures. Are the holes threaded or are they just holes?

Done for years , screwing the bead to the rim to stop the rim from spinning inside the tire when useing slicks.

Just drilled holes, use short screws so not to pass through the tire bead .

This page has tons of old catalogs for many many companies that made mags. You could spend hours trying to find it but they just might be in one of the catalogs.

Well, what I'm wondering is will the tire hold pressure without the screws? I have no intention of inserting screws, so will running them as-is be fine for the street?

It should hold pressure.

run em........ you could cut hex or allen screws very short and epoxy them in the holes for appearance

or tap threads into the holes for a very short machine screw

I don't really plan to do any hard racing... probably just some occasionally aggressive street driving. I came across these - already drilled, and I'd be running tubeless. And I would run them without screws. Worth buying or keep looking?

if you don't own them, and you don't like the holes, ....... hold out for another set, they are out there
