Hey Fellas,

I am excited to pick up my new Alterkation and street lynx suspension kit. Only one thing holding me back here...

Anybody know how to fill out this NAFTA form? I am not wanting to pay for duties if I don't need to. Save more ca$h for more parts right.

Any help with importing USA produced goods would be awesome. I am sure it would help some other members out on here as well.

Thanks

You will not be the one filling it out if you are the one receiving the goods. It is the exporter's responsibility to fill it out. It would be good to ask the company if they have dealt with these before for shipping their merchandise out of country. If it falls under the duty free category, you should be good to go. Hopefully this helps you out a little bit.

i don't know the shipping end a lot but if it is made in the U.S.A. or mexico there is no duty, nafta. it has to be on the bill of lading, country of origin and i think it is just a form letter for the shipper that is signed and sent with it. that company you are dealing with has shipped lots of stuff up here, they will know how it works. where you are going to get screwed is with UPS. they charge brokerage fees at a percentage of the total price and there is no brokerage done due to nafta. if the stuff you are getting isn't to big tell them to ship USPS, they are fair with there charges. without looking up the item, if its big $$ you can do your own brokerage before its shipped right in calgary at any customs office. tell the shipper to fax or e/mail a copy of the total invoice to you before shipping and you take it to customs up here and they will pre-clear it and give you a paper saying so, get the inv # put on the paper, no charge. send it back to them and a copy ships with the bill of lading and invoice.

- good luck

ps; you might have to p/u at the ups yard in calgary. they didn't get the brokerage lol
