I am looking for some under hood photos of a 66 Charger 383 4brl 727 power steering no ac. I need them to use as a restoration guide for our Charger to get it back to stock. Our engine compartment was all screwed up. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I got a stock 66 383 Charger here, 160,000 mile OE car....has P/S, no A/C, but it's a 4spd car.....send me a PM and let me know what pics you need and I can send to your email that you provide......posting pics in the forum leaves them kinda small

you can also search for tech articles on restoration, member's gallery photos, and For Sale photos in various mopar oriented forums..
I'ld also suggest looking in the 66-67Charger forum, esp the Resource Guide section.

Best of luck w/ your project!

This is mostly stock, but it does have a dual master cylinder, and a'67 washer bottle.

We are looking for some pix of the engine accessories power steering pump and alternator setup. We have 3 different power steering pumps and not sure which is correct for our year. I think we have the rest of it figured out. Thanks to all who posted. When we got the Charger someone swapped out the motor and blended a bunch of oddball year parts. We are going back to stock. They also painted everything under the hood Ford Blue, then Black and Green and orange. The thing was a real mess. Why do people try to restore cars with spray paint?

PM me your email address and I'll send you pics of those areas on my '66 Coronet 500 with 361. All of the bracketry and accessories are the same as the day the car was built.

Mine has A/C, the dual-pulley alternator, the idler pulley, and power steering.

the correct PS pump will have the 5/8" return line on it, anything else is wrong....I can provide you with pics as stated before

i am also working on swapping a 440 from a 73 imperial into a 66 that was a 318 (had a 68 318LA/904 in it) The 66 is a non AC car so what i do need is a guide on what pulleys and brackets to use to make it work. If you happen to have a set I would be interested in them. I am having a hard time justifying the $400 for the 440 source kit http://store.440source.com/Complete-Engine-Front-End-Kit-Non-A_C-WITH-P_S/productinfo/200-1072/

the 440 water pump outlet is on the passenger side of the 440 and I am wondering on an original big block charger is it on passenger or driver side?

I apologize ahead as I am trying to help a friend and I am not super knowledgeable in mopars.

the upper hose connection is on the passenger side, the lower hose connection is on the driver side.

You will need the 2 groove crank pulley, the single groove water pump pulley for the swap. If the 440 was a factory AC car, then you will need to get a non-AC water pump also, otherwise it will overheat. The water pump pulley and crank pulley are about the same size

Do you happen to have the correct pulleys and water pumpp housing or know of anyone who does?

thanks

I'll look, I know I don't have any water pump housings, pulleys, maybe
