I need a measurement from the frame crossover to the rear floor bolt on a bench seat. If you take and butt the tape measure end into the face of the crossover and measure to the rear bolt not the rail. The crossmember I mean is the one where your heels would be if you were sitting in the back seat. I put new floors in and didnt write the measurements down like a dummy lol. Thanks

if i was at home I'd have that for ya in a few minutes. Do you need a left/right measurement too? I suppose you can center that in the car just fine, probably don't need a measurement for that.

i'll try to remember to check back here later after work, if you don't have an answer by then I'll crawl under my 69 RR & measure it up for ya.

Dont go under the car, it can be taken easily from benind the drivers seat. There is a vertical raised area below the rear seat to take the measurement from, should be somewhere around the twenty inch range just not sure of the exact measurement. If someone actually had a road runner near here it would be easy to get lol.

My back set is out but the carpet and insulation is still in the car.

It's 47 3/8" from the letter R on my 4 speed shifter ball when I'm in 3rd gear, goes that help any?

Mines a 727 car. Ill have to either find a car around here somewhere or guess at it lol. Thanks though

alright man, lemme head out to the garage, I'll try to figure out this measurement point.

Welder, it looks like I have 22 3/8" from that crossover at the heels of the back seat passenger.

That's to the center of the rear seat frame bolt hole.

That is measuring from the most "square" point of that measuring surface, not way up top where it radiouses back towards the trunk and not way low where it radiouses forward towards the firewall.

(I made that $hit up about the shifter, so please don't use those numbers lol )

Thanks Dave, That number sounds like the right one.

looked like more of a seat frame stud than a bolt, does that come out of the seat frame?

Anyways, I peeled the carpet back and tried to get a good measurement as you described, this was to the center of that rear seat frame stud/bolt.

Worked out good, actualy found out the studs go through the underfloor bracing, didnt remember that. Of course as usual the seat doesnt go back far enough for me, have that problem with alot of cars, but the headliner doesnt rub on my head though which is good might be because the seat is a little saggy. May need to fix that sometime.
