Hey all,
I bought an 8.25 sure grip differential last year. It's a 27 spline and I was told it came out of a Duster. The numbers on it are 18-05-039-901. It's a spring type and it looks like a factory piece from an web search but I can only find info ending in 903.
Need to know who makes it and what gear can be used with it.

Thanks.

how many teeth on the gear that it came with, that will tell you what range gear you can install
one is only for the low 2 series gear so you realistically have two choices high ratios or low ratios

Mine has 27 spines which is the pre 1996 sure grip. That also matches what the seller told me but I have no way to contact him. Not sure how accurate that site is because they say the 8.25 was first used in 73 and that is not correct.
