So found this guy that is moving and has a bunch of old mopar stuff that hes practicaly giving away...
One of the items is a 4 spd out of a 68 RR, I know nothing about them, Its supposedly complete with the bellhousing and shifter. What am i looking for? ( I pick it up Friday) but was told its a cast-iron trans with an aluminum bellhousing...
Thanks!

Sounds right.

If it is an alumnium bell housing than it is a 10.5 clutch and that part number should be 2892153

For an b body 68 the tail shaft should be around 16" long and the hurst mount near the main case...If from a bird the VIN will start with RM

I bet it is a 23 spline...

I was texted this pic...

All correct. And if by any chance it has 18 splines on the input shaft it's a "hemi" trans.

Mike....man that looks rough but if almost free it is worth the taking....It is a B body 4 speed

Of the 4 speeds that was the only fact i knew that i was relatively confident in...

Im getting a running 440, and I quote "low mile, bad *** motor , 727, complete 4spd " for $300....
This guy supposedly raced mopars in the 80s and is wanting to get rid of everything...and my favorite part its all cheap, he says if i dont take it, ots going to the scrap yard...
