I'm installing a new fuel line that I purchased from Uline, it's a 1969 Satellite Convertible with a 318 so the line is 5/16ths. The old one had been patched several times and didn't look to be in there correctly. Does anyone have some pictures or experience doing this on jackstands in a garage? Is there any tips or steps to get this done correctly? Some pictures of one installed correctly would be very helpful, any help would be appreciated thanks!

I think the front section has to go through a hole in the center (T-Bar) crossmember from the back side?
Once you get that through the center section clips along the inside of the rocker panel going back to the rear frame rail, and then around the frame rail near the inside the passenger rear wheel well area. I think removing the rear wheel will make it easier. When i did mine, I think the fuel tank was out, so that may have helped too?

I just put one in my 68 super bee yesterday. It's a lot of trial and error and is easier if you can get it on a lift cause you'll be moving from front to back many, many times. Make sure the car is level and you clamp the line as close to the gas tank as you can before you disconnect it so it doesn't run all over you (I learned the hard way)---Once you remove the old line follow these steps:

1) Run the straight (front) end through the crossmember but DON'T connect it to anything (you'll need it move around as you adjust the rear half)

2) Remove the rear passenger side wheel (this is imperative as it's a pain in the butt to get the line under the frame rail even WITH the wheel off)

3) Run the line along the rocker panel and over the leaf spring, under the frame rail and behind the shock (i had to remove the top bolt of the shock to do this)

4) Connect it all up and you should be good. My new line was slightly larger than my old one but still fit in all the original hangers. Just take your time and be careful not to bend the line too much as you're moving it around to clear the rear frame rail...you can get away with a little and bend it back but if you go nuts and kink it you're screwed...good luck!
