Need help no juice

Ok I have a painless performance wiring harness and no when I turn the key to start.. I have double checked all the wiring and it was done right far as I can tell... question I have is the yellow wire to the starter relay.. is it hot when the key is on or only when the key is turned forward to ignite the starter?

Is there a steering colum gorund or something I missed..
I dont have the turn signal harness hooked up only the 5 wires for the painless harness.. red blue black yellow brown.. the last three small red (2) and orange wires are connected to anything in the painless harness

no power on eother side of the coil either but the red choke+ wire has juiice

the car started before I put the new harness in. and took out the original ..LOL am I missing a ground somewhere.. the trans saftey is wired to the safety relay correctly.. could the new starter relay be bad? frustrated
 
Ok yellow wire to starter relay is hot only when key is pushed foward to engage starter and I have power to coil as well....
SO .. is the saftety switch just a ground? Cant I bypass that then off the starter relay to see if I can get this thing started
 
Ok never mind...LOL Yes the trans switch is a ground.. I bypassed and the starter kicked to life immediatly... got fuel and spark for sure as it backfired up through the carb with a very nice burst of flame.. SO............. the timing is off or maybe a plug wire is routed wrong... I replaced the distributor and marked it position as best as possible but I know that is where the issue is and I am not good at that aspect of the deal...hahahahaha

LOL ... well I keep right on working on it.. got it fired up too... couple plug wires were on wrong and it was way to advanced (timing)so I got it backed off until it started and it runs great... now I am trying to tackle the ralley dash conversion.. and lighting.. need to drive this car thursday ! fuel line looks good but the tank is like 1/4 full and I am having trouble siphoning it.. it get flowing and then stops like there is something in the tank blocking it up.. to much to do and not enough time to do it... engine runs strong though.. real encouraged about it
 
got any more questions you can answer yourself???...jk...hahahahahha

Brakes !!!

This car does not have power brakes.. how does this system work.. how does the pedal return up to the top position ??

time is running out I need brakes !!..LOL:plane:
