I have a 70 RM21 and yesterday I was rolling the window down and heard a klunk and the window stayed up and the window handle rotates freely.
So today I pulled the panel off and found these parts in the bottom of the door. I was able to manually pull the window down to expose the glass hole where the bracket goes, and I rolled the regulator arm down so I see how this can be reassembled. Here are my questions/issues.
First, the window is very stiff and can only be rolled up or down fully with the door open. Otherwise there is too much resistance. Is this just the seals?
I do not know what or where the other 2 parts go. One is a square metal piece with thread hole and the other is a plastic piece. Pictures attached.
Should I add rubber liner and use a rubber washer be for reattaching the bracket to the window?
The other issues as the window is rolled up or down, is the whole frame does move some. When window is down, it gaps away from the top window seal. When up it closes the gap.
I provide a picture of what looks like an adjustable pin/support for the frame, but it doesn't look threaded. Is it, do I just turn this to lift the window frame up and close the gap?
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, GGG
