Recently purchased a 70 RR with the Hood Turn signal option. Lights are in place but no wiring coming out from them. (Car was restored about 10 years ago,,not sure why the lights were not hooked up...fender tag does have the L31 code). Photos of the light kits in the parts catalogs show lights are wired with black cables with some sort of round socket type connectors (sort of looks like some type of barrel type connector..). Was wondering if anyone could post some close up photos of how and where the connections are made. So far I have learned that the cables from the lights in the hood are spliced/connected/half-tapped to the main forward light harness some how...no "dedicated" wire harness for them (that I can find anyway) except for the black cables connected to the back of each of the lights (see photo)
Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

My wiring diagram shows them simply spliced to the left and right front turn signals inside that harness. On mine it's a light green with tracer for the left and tan with a tracer for the right. So i would open the front end harness, find those and splice in your hood indicators. I don't have a scanner so I can't send you the diagram, which covers all Belvy/Satellite/RR/GTX.

Thanks for the splicing info......whats the deal with the barrel type connectors on the ends of the leads coming out of the lights themselves?....do they connect with another wire/cable that is spliced into the harness like you mentioned?

PS: Do have a shop manual set and a wiring diagram on order...

Not sure, I'd have to open up my harness to see. It's all wrapped with that crappy looking tape that Mopar used for wiring harnesses. There may be connectors for those already in the harness. you'll love the service manual and the wiring diagrams are excellent. Good luck.
