As for most lot of us remove our heater a/c boxes for less weight. Well I mounted my msd 7al-2 under the opening to allow the incoming air to help cool the electronics. Now the lip that is in the cowl isn't that big and wondering what seal to add to gain some height so when I wash the car I don't have to worry about getting things wet. Any ideas? I've searched and a lot of seal need a thicker and slightly higher lip to attach too.

Not sure what or where you mean... how big of an opening ?? & be a little more clear on exactly where & what your talking about ??... a photo might help... Not sure if this would work where your talking about or not, maybe like a Louvered HVAC Vent grill on the outside pointed down with rubber foam seal with adhesive back strip on the back, covering the hole on the outside & to let air in still & not let, at-least divert water from coming into the electronics... Also the firewall should be sealed for fire safety... maybe not exactly like that below, but you get the idea...

Budnicks: if I had to guess the opening is around six inches round shape maybe a bit more. The location of the opening is where the a/c heater core draw in the air from where the wiper motor arms are but the opening is right next to the drain area for the water in this area I just want to make a taller wall so to speak so that water won't go splashing into the car and on top of the electronics. Was thinking of something along those lines that I could juat close manually. Will meassure for sure and see if I could get a duct to seal .

Thanks for the clarification... good luck
