Hi,

I currently have following SSBC master cylinder + booster installed:

http://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/ssb-a28144/overview/

Front and rear SSBC disc brakes with the better HAWK brake pads.

My master cylinder has a 1.125" bore size.

I was told that for instance a 5/16" bore size would dramatically increase brake pressure!?

If possible I would like to change the master cylinder.

Any ideas?

THX

Dan

Smaller bore will have more pressure but more pedal travel.
I think most of the power brakes in our cars originally where 7/8 and 1 inch bores.
I am no expert on brake pressure hopefully someone will chime in.

I would try a 1 inch. I went from a Wilwood 1.125 to their 1 inch on my power brake set up with an adjustable proportioning valve and what a difference....brakes for days!!

Keep in mind that a disc brake equipped car needs about 1100-1400 psi at the caliper to work properly.

That master will work just fine in the link, also talk to Cass aka Dr. Diff, he knows his stuff and can help you out.
