So I'm getting stuck on this interior removal on my grandmothers 1964 Polara. This interior removal is a LOT longer process that I thought it would be. Really starting to think I need to go ahead and buy a service manual at this point. I've got no clue how to get these window regulators out. Also, any tips on dash removal? The car is a factory air car. At first glance, I'm guessing that the ac/heater box is attached to the firewall and not the dash, but I don't want to break anything either.

Yeah! Highly recommend a service manual. At the least, it will lead you through many of the basics, far as getting it down, and getting back in one piece again. Then there's adjusting the windows and regulators...all in there.

Heater/AC box is attached at the firewall...but other components that go with it, somewhat fastened to the dash. Highly suggest take many photos...you'll want them for reference. AC stuff just adds to the mess. Label, or bag parts as you pull them, so you can keep track of it all. The dash needs to be stripped down, before you pull it. Don't remember for sure, but might need to pull the windshield, to get to the dash front attaching screws. Then, only a bolt, or two on each end of the dash. Service manual will show you how to get the window regulators out.

Take your time...it's a bunch of work! Good luck!
