If any of you are running Flamming River Steering adapters, are you using the universal $62.00 one or the $186.00 Flamming River mopar adapter?
If you have pictures of our steering shaft can you post them?

Thanks

Kevin

If you are talking about the adapter for power to manual conversion I used mancinis par mre8770 for $125 on my 64dodge.I used a 71abody manual box and the adapter and works great.Cars not here will take pics in a few.

Thanks guys!
Al, It looks like you're using the Flamming River mopar adapter. I can't figure out why a regular adapter is $62.00 yet the mopar adapter is $180.00. Did you just pin it or did you weld it?
Mopar Poor, we have a manual steering box with a manual steering shaft.

Thanks again.

Kevin

Yeah, that just kills me. I looked at this joint this past weekend and couldn't believe they wanted so much for it. When I was looking through the catalog a month ago the regular joints were about $68 bucks or so. The only difference I can see is the shaft diameter, so what gives?

Yha, $160.00 with the racer discount at Summit and the damn thing weights more than the stock one we took off.... .That really kills me! I think I'm going to take a ride to Summit tomorrow and see if they have something lighter that will work.

I got a extra flaming river one that needs to be welded to your shaft.
cheap for you buddy!!

Thanks Chris I really appreciate it.... We mocked up the new one we got from Summit, I just said the hell with it and tig welded it on. We're running out of time. Now were ready to drop in the motor. See how things go tomorrow if I can get over there we will.

By the way Built Poly 318, the $60.00 u joint worked. The one we got was 3 3/4 inches long heck so it's plenty long enough. I had to cut our steering shaft probably close to 1.5 from the end. You will need to weld it on though.
I would not use these for street use though.
