8 3/4? Smallest Dana-60 gear I've seen, is a 3.33...used in Ford trucks.

The highest(lowest numerical) gear for a 60 is 3.55. They made a dana 61 which is basically a 60 with a different pinion offset to fit numerically lower gear sets. I have a 3.08 ring and pinion set for one. The ring year and carrier can in a 60 can be machined to accept the gear set
