I need a windshield for my '62 Plymouth Savoy sedan. Does anyone know where I can get a NOS or NORS windshield? Does anyone have experience with the current aftermarket parts? I've been told they are "thinner" and not very good.

A friend just did a 64 Cuda and got new rubber from Steele, glass came from the local Safelite auto glass. Great fit with both products. Safelite said "no problem" as far as getting glass for old cars.Get this, it was in stock too. Just had to wait for the rubber for about a week.

Same here... I need a windshield for my 65 Bel II and Safelite told me they have it and it wasn't very expensive, either. I think he said about $225 or something like that.

In SoCal, found on Craigs. Little pricey too.

Rick, these are the windshields that will fit your car, and mine for that matter:

1962-63 DODGE "B" BODY 2 DOOR HARDTOP, 4 DOOR HARDTOP, 2 DOOR SEDAN, 4 DOOR SEDAN AND CONVERTIBLE ( DART, POLARA, POLARA 500 & THE 440 ).

1962-63 PLYMOUTH 2 DOOR HARDTOP, 4 DOOR HARDTOP, 2 DOOR SEDAN, 4 DOOR SEDAN, CONVERTIBLE AND THE STATION WAGON ( BELVEDERE, SAVOY, FURY AND SPORTS FURY )

My friend owns a Auto Glass business. I went to him for a windshield for my 65 Coronet. He called his distributor and had one in the car the next morning.

My point: Check your local Auto Glass store. Installed for $250. I got lucky. I didn't need a new gasket. If they remove it right you should be able to reuse the old one.

His distributor was out of the Quad Cities. I don't know where Spring Grove is though.

I got a quote from our local distributor yesterday and the price was $475.00 and $175.00 of that was installation.
