Hi, I don't know the year of my transmission exactly, but I have a 1977 440 engine; A727B automatic transmission in my 1968 Plymouth Satellite (GTX clone).

The end threading into the transmission has a large metal hex nut on it, possibly about 5/8 or 7/8 " in size. Its not circular. The other end clips onto the rear of the cluster with the standard white plastic clip.
I'm hoping to pick one up locally at a standard store like napa, autozone, advance, etc.

LMK if you can help me with a part number or cross reference a year/make/model that will be correct. I've tried once and the guy said he was a pro but gave me a cable with the wrong end on it. Thanks for your help.

I think it is part number 3592360 which corresponds to 1968-76 Darts, coronets, valiants, barracudas and other models regardless of automatic or 4 speed. So now I will see if any of the local stores carry one.
