This deal sounds great and makes perfect sense, after all there was Super Stock & Junior Stock. I've questioned why some of these NSS associations don't have a Junior Stock type deal to go along with NSS and run them as a combo race. I'd venture to say Junior Stock was more popular and had more car counts back in the day. (I'm only speculating from old publications I read) and here is some more proof...

This would bring in more cars that are period correct (Junior stock went up to 1971) The more participation the better!

How is this going over with the other NSS racers? Are they welcoming the addition?

I brought up this very same suggestion at another website forum as was dragged over the coals before being tar and feathered! I got this huge elitist attitude from several in the NSS crowd.

So far everyone is POSITIVE on the idea. It gets car counts up when on race day the track looks like a ghost town. Anything to keep the spirit alive.:headbang:

I agree, those rules seem to be open to bring in a larger amount of racers. I would love to see something out here in the west but alas our tracks are closing down! well at least that's whats being told, even Firebird International raceway is going to close in april! rumor has it that it will reopen for the 2014 season.

thats sad to see. I had a huge job offer a few years ago to relocate to Arizona and to live in Carefree. It was tempting because the money was huge. We chose to stay here and concentrate on expanding our business here. Im glad I did now because I would be really bummed to see all to see all those tracks close up. hopefully yours will open back up.

Glad to see the usual suspects will be back racing with NENDRA again this year.
I got a call today and looks like a few new faces will be coming up for the 1st race and joining.
Hopefully diesel will start coming down.

just met with 2 new racers today. Im glad to see things are looking up. 2 new mopars.

just had a 72 Challenger and 1970 Chevelle an
looks like it's going to be a great year.

wow that suck, I wonder what the deal is in Chandler AZ/Firebird Int. Raceway, I saw something about they needed to be repaved/resurfaced, because too many cracks & a bad bump, or a few possible other issues, that's if I remember correctly... {I could be totally wrong} Maybe just closing to fix all the stuff, to keep there NHRA races & sanctioning or something to that order of things....
