I have a '72 BB with an automatic. I am routing a new neutral safety switch harness. I understand the harness routes over to the right side of the trans before routing up along the cowl to connect at the starter relay and bulkhead. Can someone identify where and how it is clipped to the trans and cowl?

There's a clip that goes through one of the bellhousing bolts, usually just to the right of center. I don't have a pic handy.

Here's a photo of how it was done on a '69 Big Block. Can't guarantee that it was the same for your '72.

I've just drawn a black line in the approximate position of the harness in this photo, the actual harness was not installed yet. Notice the wire harness clip in the upper trans/engine bolt on the passenger side.

Thank you...this is what I need.

If anyone knows the routing and clips are different for a '72, please let me know.

As I recall that is the routing on my '74 400 N code so suspect you'd be correct on your '72 also
