I'm sure someone has asked this question before, however, I'll ask it again. Just recently purchased another 69 Roadrunner. This will be my first 4 speed car, my last two were automatics. Since I brought home the car I have started going over the electrical harnesses. I have to replace the Positive and Negative Battery cables. So, on to my question, Is the Neutral Safety Switch Harness built into the battery cables? Keep in mind I have a 383, I believe the Hemi's have this harness attached to the positive battery cable.

Jeff

The neutral safety switch wire is a separate green wire that runs thru the firewall to the pivot-switch, you can get it from a few different sources.

The wiring for the safety switch is not part of the battery cable. It is a separate harness that runs from the switch at the trans-through 2 clips on the trans sidecover and another clip on the top driver side bellhousing bolt- and plugs in at the engine side bulkhead. It should be a black wire and a violet wire. These harnesses are reproduced, Year One has them and I've seen them on Ebay. 4 speed harness is different from autos, autos have 3 wires. Good luck!

Thanks MoparBill for your reply the info will help. This new RR is my first 4 speed car. My last two were automatics. On this car I am having to replace all of the harnesses because of age.
