Hello everyone, looking forward to meeting everyone and learning a lot more about these beautiful cars. A little about myself and my ride I splurged on a couple weeks ago. The car is a 1969 Coronet R/T 500 with a 360, mild cam, with new Edlebrock 4 barrel and intake. It’s no 440, but sound and runs fantastic enough for me, lol ! The car is in excellent condition and is a driver now with many new goodies. Including exhaust, front disc brake conversion, new tires, newer top, etc. Needing very little, unless I become very picky. Only thing it definitely needs is rear springs. But, they will get by until I decide to put the money and effort into swapping them out. About myself, I’m 42 years and love wrenching and restoring anything. But, I never considered myself a big car fanatic. Cars today, do nothing for me. Im big into restoring and wrenching on classic motorcycles. My dad, on the other hand. Was a huge muscle car guy back in the 70,s and 80’s. Anyone who knew my dad, knew he owned the most beautiful muscle cars over the years. Challengers, Gto’s, road runners, Chevelles, on and on. My dad passed away when I was only 16. For a few years before he did. He owned the most gorgeous Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Convertible. Everyone loved that car. That car was supposed to be passed on to me. But, I don’t think things are going to end that way. Anyhow, I came across this Coronet, that reminds me so much of my dad’s Cutlass. Same exact blue, same white convertible top. Only difference dad’s interior was white leather. When I first laid eyes on this Coronet. I knew, I had to have it. Not just because of my dad’s car. But, felt this is the sexiest damn car ever, lol ! Im certainly not made of money. But, I’ve worked extremely hard the last few years and decided this was it. Im never buying another thing for myself as long as I live, if I buy this car, lol ! I know damn well, dad would have loved it too.
