Just ordered a new A12 bolt-on hood for our '69 Coronet from Glasstek Inc. on Friday. I had gone to their website to see what they had to offer and didn't see an A12 version, either lift-off or bolt-on, so I gave them a call to see if they made them. A wonderful and very cheerful young lady named Chloe answered and I told her what I was looking for and she said that I must be clairvoyant as she had just at that moment finished posting their new offering to their website. She told me that they had just gotten their new mold for the hood a few days ago. I scrolled down the list of hoods for Coronets and sure enough there it was! I ask her if I would be the Guinea pig if I ordered one and she said no, I would be the second place Guinea pig as they had just taken an order for the first one earlier in the day from a local individual. I told her that I didn't see any pictures of the hood and she told me how to access them and all I can say is that it looks very good. I had a new '69-1/2 A12 car and really liked the hood except for the lift-off part so I was very pleased to see what looks to be a quality bolt-on hood being made for us old guys who are getting too weak in the back to deal with lifting the hood off and then having to find some place to put it.

She told me they are 2-3 weeks out on build time and she was also able to give tell me shipping charges (to the Dallas area) which I thought were reasonable. So I guess I'll see what I get in a short while and I'll let y'all know how it goes. I was all-in to my door at $1,182.00.

Anyway just thought I would post this so if anyone is looking I would highly recommend that you give them a call and speak with Chloe. I think you'll be happy.

Love that their mold has the 69 front lower contour. Did you ask her about using a genuine a12 air cleaner with all the bracing on the underside? I wonder if it fits or would much of the bracing need to be cut out and reconfigured

Chloe helped me out several years ago with a flat hood and bumpers, she's very helpful

Good company, good service, good product and well packaged in my experience.

I did not inquire about that Dan. I'm not running a Six Pack set up on my 496 so it was not on my radar. Just looking at the pics I would imagine one would have to do some work to use the Six Pack stuff. I'm sure that I will have to make some changes myself so my air cleaner will fit with the 3" tall element.

Understood, thanks
