It's about time. I wonder what the power to weight is versus the competition. This is a nice upgrade, but it still may not be enough if they don't put the car on a diet.

Agree. I can't figure out why the factory thinks that these new cars have to be so heavy.

That news is 3 months old & nothing official yet. FYI, my new 302 is 500 lbs lighter than my Challenger, which is a significant amount.

I'm surprised they don't make a strip down much lighter bare bones version {kind like a Road Runner base was in 68}, other than the ultra expensive Drag Pak, unfinished cars...

They do have something called "The Core", which is a low-optioned SRT. Unfortunately, it's still not low weight, but the price point isn't bad.

Yeah, you are 100% correct there RC/DH, I remember read that too, but not exactly a striped down version really...
