Hey everyone, I'm a new poster but I've stalked the site for a while. I got a 68 Satellite 2dr hardtop, 318 and a thermoquad with a 727 torque flite. I have a general idea what i need to do but not enough experience or knowledge to finish the job.

If you want a little backstory, my father passed when I was 12, and I inherited the beauty. My dad swapped motors and trannys around for a while before he passed but left me with a 318 in it. I've spent a small fortune getting a new trunk pan and fuel tank. And I have to do some work on getting it running right. The carb is giving me the most pain. And I have no clue what I'm doing with the carburetor. I want to learn all I can about this car, it's my life and my dad's legacy.

I'm on my phone at the moment and have to get back to work, but I will try to make a post more about my work.

I will try to post more pictures tonight.

Welcome from Alabama, 318 2bbl carburetors are pretty simple, but if you can't handle rebuilding it, it shouldn't be real expensive to have done.

Nice! Welcome aboard! I too am working on a ‘68. Gonna GTX it. 440 4-speed Strange 60.

Welcome to the site!! TQ's are a bit of a different animal but they too can be tamed. My first TQ rebuild taught me a lot but it's been a long while since doing one. Not even sure kits are still available? Anyways, mine was on a 71 340 Cuda and it ended up being the best street carb of all.

Great car! Tinkering and figuring out how things work on old cars is the fun part.

Cool car to start with
always had a soft spot for 68 Satellites

welcome to FBBO from NorCal Sierras
