Hey y’all,
New guy here. Been looking at the site for awhile since it looks like I’m finally going to get to start on my 73 charger. Had it awhile now but something always comes up and gets in the way. Anyway it needs pretty much everything. I’ll try to get some pictures up tomorrow. Now that I bought a truck for a donor I’ll either swap it’s drivetrain in or maybe let my dad have it and take his small block set up out of his 73 challenger. I’ll probably need plenty of advice and it looks like I may have come to the right place. Thanks for having me.
Brandon

Brandon...Welcome....Since you have been "looking here for awhile" then you have probably seen this posted below....

:xscuseless:

Cool car and congrats and would love to see some pics and maybe you could start a build thread?

Justin

Pics tomorrow for sure. As far as a build thread the way my life goes it would span years instead of months. But I do plan on documenting the whole thing somehow.

Welcome aboard from N.J. Yes, you are in the right place fer shure!

Welcome to FBBO from warm & sunny NorCal Sierras

Welcome from NW CT. Show us that Mopar!

Sorry about all the stuff on her. She’s not much to look at I’ve started stripping her down for rust repair that’s why the rear bumper and tail lights are missing.

Welcome from Ohio &&& thanks for the pics!

Thanks y’all she’s a little rusty( seeing as I’m in Mississippi) but not too bad. No motor or trans but that’s about to change. Either going with this 440 and trans I just bought a truck for or my dad’s hopped up 340 And his trans out of his E body. Not sure which way I’m going to go. It’s an electric window car so I gotta find wiring harnesses and possibly window motors the list goes on and on as I’m sure y’all all know.

I miss having a 73 charger I think there the best looking with a little help . So you have a power window rallye that's impressive I personally would go small block these cars are really nose heavy already without a 440 in it

It’s a dual fender tag car. Power windows, moon roof, rear defrost, rear sway bar. The interior is all trash but it was a black interior car. That’s the original paint or what’s left of it and obviously the vinyl top is gone. It was a 340 car. The emblems on the power bulge good day 340 magnum. Just so happens my dad’s car has a 340.

Cool Charger! 73-4 hardtops look the best out of the 3rd gens, imo. What are your plans for the car?

Heck yeah! Go with the 340!

Welcome aboard.

I see you have the ultra rare carpet roof option!!

Oh yes the carpet roof AND roof mounted stereo option. Very rare indeed!! As far as my plans go at this point I really just want to get her going under her own power and get her cleaned up. She’s going to need sheet metal in the trunk and rear floor pans. I had thought about late model hemi and transmission but once I get the 340 in it I may not want new and fuel injected. It’s pretty much not a plan which I know is bad and gets expensive fast. But I’m really unsure of the direction to take this car.
