Welcome aboard from Ohio. Very nice

Welcome to FBBO from NorCal Sierras

My mom & stepfather ordered a new 1968 Sport Satellite, in Nov 1967
GG1 (dark racing green) white top & guts, black carpet,
383 4 speed bucket seat interior, no console,
from SF Chrysler Plymouth, I loved that car...
That dealer also installed sure grip & 3.91:1 gears, trans pinion
my stepdad Bob also ordered some polished (Ansen IIRC) slots, 15" wheels
& Uniroyal 60 series tires
like G60s in front & a tad taller L60's (?) Bias-ply in the rear
that he also had dealer installed...
All the take off parts came with the car too
I was 8 y/o when they ordered it, I was right there listening in/watching
& it was my mom's 1st new car ever, very good car...

I later owned it in 1979, a couple summers after I graduated
I had traded Bob a/my 71 Demon 225/6 w/3 on the tree slime green/black
& $300 cash for it, I wanted that car (Satellite) to stay in the family...
My stepdad Bob, wanted/needed an economy car for commuting
& parking at the powerhouses or refineries, & not worry about it,
where he was a Union lifer pipefitter...
I had that car for another 15+ years, it was in my family...
Several different renditions, after I blew up the org. 383
the trans lasted the whole life of the car we had it, probably 5 clutches :poke:
the last was 'sort of' a RR clone, no badges etc.
6 bbl lift off hood, 0.030" over 440 w/STR14-6 intake,
nice Racer Brown 292*/.509" cam, the old Rhoads variable duration lifters
ductile iron adj. rockers & headers, w/Hemi Turbo/Thrush mufflers,
on the org. 2.25" pipes, real tinny sounding exhaust of the day...
Wish I had never sold it...
