Hi I'm Coleman from northern Wisconsin. I have a 1973 Plymouth Roadrunner I bought when I was 13 with my own money. I wanted a Duster but we couldn't find one in fair shape around here and we ran across this car. It was a 318 3speed car and it ran (dad showed me how to do burnouts with it) and we saved the original engine and transmission in case someday I want to make it all original. I am doing a complete restoration with my dad in our garage and I have a mildly built 340 4speed going in it. I'm going to go back to the original color and factory stripes (yellow). I'm 17 now and the car is totally disassembled and on the rotisserie. I took it all apart and bagged and tagged every part and have been searching swap meets and junk yards the last couple of years trying to find everything I need to replace...now its time to get busy and get it finished! I will be posting pictures of the beast as we go along and hope to get some good advice from everyone. Happy New Year to everyone!

Well hello there Coleman, nice to hear from you, I like your choice of Mopar. You will have a great learning experience with your car and will learn a lot more then you already know.
Sounds like you will have good guidance with your "Burn out Instructor". Do send pictures of any part of restoration. It will tell/show a good story to us on the reading end.

Hi Coleman, welcome! You sound like you have your act together, sounds like it'll be a pretty nice car.

Welcome aboard. That's awesome to get into the hobby at 17, way to go!

Lots of 73/74 guys here.

I personally think the 73/74 RR has one of the most aggressive looking front ends ever put on a Mopar.

Welcome from SE PA!

Here is a picture of my Son in his 73 Road Runner. It is a 340 car, with a 727 and a 3.55 sure grip rear. This was my first car and it became his first (and still only) car when he turned 16. The 340 is a fantastic engine, so you have a great package coming together! Enjoy it!

Welcome. It can be a long road, but there is a really good feeling, knowing how all the parts work and how they go together. Stick with it. If you get discouraged, simply come on here and post your frustration and others will get you back on track & re-motivated. Now post up some photos. We all want to see what you are working with.

Welcome to the addiction guy! Bought it with "your" hard earned money? Now that's what I like to hear. To many are handed everything....maybe I'm just to "old school", but that's how I was brought up. Good luck with the Roadrunner, you deserve a nice ride. Enjoy it to the fullest!
