Hello Yal. Im new to this site. I have a 1970 dodge Coronet. The previous owner tried cloning it to a super bee. He must not have donr much research in the graphics department. He put super bee stickers on the quarters nice and symetrical but the bee is facing the truck instead of toward the front. He did manage to install period correct buckets with a 383 big block k memeber and auto to 8 3/4. I bought the car in 1999 in Dever Co. While going to Wyo Tech. Marriage and divorce along with child custody battles have drawn out the project. Now is sporting a 440 rebuilt the torque flight and installing a floor shifter. Its been a decade since i drove it on the road, and i vow to make its return to the road this year....

Welcome. Just an FYI there were (basically) only 3 K frames for that car. One for a slant six, one for V8's (big and small block) and one for a Hemi.

Welcome, there are lots of good resources in here, poke around! Arn't all K Members the same, just motor mounts differ with the exception being the 426 HEMI engine?

big welcome from iowa.we all here know what you mean by having to put projects on the back burner.i've got a '69 RR that i have owned for the last 22 years.the guys on this forum, you couldn't ask for anybody better.ask and they will answer.

If all k frames are the same, then why the need for swap motor mounts? And thanks guys for the welcome invitations. I will post pics, although its crammed in my garage.

Hemi cars had different motor-mounts to "position" and 'support" Hemi engine.
Hemi and Six-Pak / Six-BBL cars had a skid plate to protect the oil pan in front.

Well, since you're reminiscing over your starting post, how about a current photo of what your Coronet looks like now? :)

Well sorry for the confusion. If you didn't see the first post. I was a new member in '10. I was just looking back over some of my previous posts and seeing how much knowledge I have aquired since this first post. I was referring to the K member comment. And yes, thanks to this site and all the knowledgeable members, I do know the difference now. Lol.

As far as the new or current pictures of the project:

Here's her coming out of the garage where she sat on jack stands for 3 years.

I got the hood back on, but have to adjust it some more to get it to close, i'll upload some pictures of it after I get some more work done on it. I have 2 projects total now, this and a 72 Charger Rallye. It's a challenge , but I hope it pays off...
