hello everyone new member here,just found and bought 1970 charger r/t 440 v-code 4 speed green all original #s matching full drive train and hemi wheels very solid wearing its original faded paint and strip ..runs and drives!!untouched except the starter,fuel tank and exhaust,last inspection registration window sticker from 1974 with 89,000 original miles and build sheet!!on its way soon and im ready to restore and document,any suggestions before i get started with govier or somthing like that??i will post photos soon and during my process i think im getting photos of the car in the early 70s also!!i will be the 3rd owner.any idea a good market value for this car is worth done???with documentation??

i know for right now it has hemi wheels,side white pin stripes,8 track player ,4 speed code a34 track pac,charcoal two tone interior so far and its all complete and runs,the seller bought it from the original owner in pa and the original owner special ordered this way new just the way he liked it..i heard there were only about 600 or so made half being 4 speeds.340 i think or so

yes unfourtunly i do.shes got a little rust here and there and the original paint well lost its shine.ok though ill take care of her,i own my own body shop and been doing autobody for 21 years and have the know how to bring it to new again,ill take many photos as it will show defintily how it came and should be from the factory.

thanks i will post all of my restoration photos on here! im probaly going to dip this one as it does a better job then blasting threw experiance.it gets in all the nuks and crannys of the seems and in places blasting doesnt get to,alot of guys know this but just tend to look away from it and move on with blasting.looking down deep of the (a) pillars and see the rust still down there and saying"ah thats a little.. it wont hurt anything ill just shoot something down in there"the only down fall of dipping is price and time..some take 2 months to sit in a tank and nuetralize and double the price,im on the fence with blasting.

does anyone know the code or rarity of the hemi steel wheels (color painted) and red lined dogdish caps on a vcode?is this correct?rare?cant find any info on this?

You must mean "H" wheels? The "H" is not for HEMI but for Heavy duty. Station wagons, etc..

Dipping is good, it is, as long as a dipper is available, and it's cleaned out really well after!

yes all hemi and 69 and half v codes got them wheels named durived from the h stamped on them and they where date coded also by the valve stems,as soon as i get it in ill take photos of the whole car before i tear it down.
